VRC.png1.Services for Students with Visual Impairments (SSVI) alternate format materials (Braille, Large Print, Audio and E-text), kits, professional resources and specialized equipment loans to Alberta students’ registered by a vision specialist. Vision Resources resources and training.  


2. Thunder:Thunder helps visually impaired and blind web users navigate the Internet.
3. ZapReader : web based program read online text one or two words visual at a time. Reduce distractions and tracking demands. Helpful for reading and writing. A simple copy and paste.
4.NonVisual Desktop Access: NVDA is a free, open source screen reader that uses text-to-speech and Braille.
5.  Summarize or compact text to reduce the amount of reading using online tools like textcompactor (PC & Mac friendly) or download a open source text summarizer, or use purchasable programs like Read and Write Gold or Windows AutoSummary  or Mac OS X summarize tool. 1. Digital material  for ALL:   public domain (e-mail request a copy) and destiny ebooks . 
2. Using digital materials: Tip Sheet & destiny ebooks in classroom.
3. Request a textbook click to see the list of French textbooks, English textbooks  or copyright protected novels with this  BGRD online digital text request form students with perceptual disability.
4. Access local public library using CELA.
