HOTS Assessment Idea: How can I write my own powerful questions?

Created by Val Baron (EJELS) and Terra Kaliszuk (AISI Instructional Coach)

Is it possible for students to create their own powerful, higher order thinking questions? How can we capitalize on this quality, in-depth thinking to create assessment opportunities?

In this lesson/assessment idea, students will use an adapted version of Costa’s 3 Levels of Questioning to create their own HOTS questions!
